SplitSkrene is a 2D precision-platformer where the player must navigate obstacles using a grappling hook and repulsion shockwave.
In addition to the main movement mechanics, there are multiple different colored objects that are only active when the player has their color selected. Cycling these colors is integral to navigating the stages and completing the levels!
The theme for this game jam was simply "Mode." SplitSkrene fits this theme by having the player constantly swapping their "color mode" to work their way through levels!
Hadalis was my first ever game jam entry. You play as a diver who attempts to dive as far as they can with limited oxygen, while collecting resources along the way. At the end of every dive, you can use your resources to upgrade your gear, allowing you to dive further and explore one of numerous undersea biomes.
The theme for this game jam was "Take a deep breath" - so my team and I created an Adobe-flash inspired take on a marine explorer "taking a deep breath" as they push further and further into the sea's depths.
